Huh? Today is my sister and brother-in-laws 7th wedding anniversary. And now, it is also the birth date of their twin babies! What a way to ring in the seven year itch, right? I would say that I have anxiously awaited this day for 7.5 months now… but it more like *years*. Elizabeth “Libby” Kay (4lbs 13oz) and Ian Blaise (5lbs1oz) were born at 9:31 and 9:32 this morning. Libby is doing fabulous, as is Ian… but is being watched closely in the NICU since his lungs weren’t quite as ready. I wish I could announce them with a picture, but since I haven’t yet met Ian face to face (or face to lens?), I will instead showcase “the calm before the storm”… aka… my sister and her fabulous belly! The first image was taken just 15 hours before the birth (now, don’t go blaming me!). I must thank my sister for being such a trooper and letting me try my crazy ideas out on her.

(ETA: These are not my sisters babies! I should have put that in the post originally. I know… we are all “expecting”! I am hoping my niece and nephew are born on 08-08-08 🙂 )

These baby girls were such good models. Little Ava and Emily, just 7 days old. I may have to add some more later… love them! © carrie sandoval | baby

This little boy was a dream to photograph. So content and curly… love his little piggies sticking up there and still as comfortable as can be!I am so behind (re: my computer post below), and have more to come soon!  © carrie sandoval | newborn

in the past week or so and I have not replied, can you please resend? The logic board in my computer took a dive and I was thankfully able to back everything up (most importantly PICTURES!) and emails, but for some reason, I am not finding any “unread” emails in the back up folder. I know I had quite a few drafts as well. I am so sorry for the inconvenience!

This shot totally fell into place. I didn’t plan on this shot, but it worked out perfectly. I love Daddy’s wedding ring, the sweet grasp of Daddy’s pinky finger and her sweet little squished up lips! Meet baby doll, Cameron. © carrie sandoval | newborn
