Maybe I am hungry right now. But after titling this blog post, I am now reminiscing about my favorite take out restaurant here in Fallbrook was a hawaiian barbecue joint called “Sweet Leilani’s” which closed down a couple years ago. I thought it was fitting since little miss “K”aylani is simply delicious… don’t you think? Also, I am so ashamed that this is not a sneak peek, but rather an old session that I can’t believe I didn’t blog sooner. Thanks for looking!

This stunning family was brought to southern California from South Africa briefly for business. Luckily that “briefly” covered a maternity and newborn session for me! Little miss was 5 weeks old at the time of her newborn session and I knew our typical curled-up-sleeping poses would be limited, but she made up for it in giggles, smiles, crazy cool eye contact and obvious love for her Daddy! Thanks for looking!

My blog in so neglected. I apologize. We are experiencing a baby boom all while getting ready for our Australia workshop adventure! I thought I would show a favorite or two from a few recent sessions as well as shout out to any new Moms in Australia (anyone giving birth… um… right now, lol… would be perfect!). See details below.

Baby as Art {newborn photography workshop} is excited to announce their official casting call for Aussie newborns! Model compensation includes the edited full resolution digital files captured by Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall during the workshop. Models should be under four weeks of age (under two weeks preferred). Melbourne models will be needed November 8-9. Sydney models will be needed November 10-12. I’ve got issues!

June has been such an exciting month! The Baby as Art team started the month off by welcoming Pink and Carey Hart’s baby girl, Willow, to the world with her first photo session… which was featured in People Magazine a few weeks later. There will be an individual blog post about that next week on the Baby as Art blog. I just wanted to mention it today so my readers could pick up a copy while it’s still on the news stands! And for my friends in China and Malaysia, be sure to pick up a copy of the June issues of Photo Creator and Advanced Images Photography magazines… featuring an interviews with “me”! Although a little belated, I would love to share our beautiful newborn models from our newborn photography workshop held in the Oceanside beach house last month. Brittany not only enjoyed the company of all our wonderful attendees and the gorgeous families who participated, but also the awesome view of the dolphin-lined coast, surfers and a front row “seats” for the California Ironman Triathlon! Well, what I thought was going to be my first two sessions of the new year, turned into my last two sessions of last year! Meet sweet Baby K and Pax!

Also, I know this is last minute, but if anyone knows somebody with a brand new baby (born after Dec. 27) we would love to extend a special gift to them! We are holding a workshop next week and need a fresh baby to pose for us. The workshop will be held in the Fallbrook studio and there will be no session fee and complimentary prints. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know lots of new families in southern California had a great one with their new additions! I have really neglected my blog, so I figured there is no better time than now (just days before the new year, a time for resolutions) than to catch my blog up and share loads of little ones (one not born yet, and others 3 at a time!) that I have photographed in the past couple of months.
