This is my attempt to catch the blog up! It’s been a fabulously busy few months with baby season and workshops. What a shame that I haven’t shared these beauties! Much more to come… I have sessions that I haven’t even opened up yet!

First is miss Kate. 100% girl; beautiful and delicate. Mom loves etsy and came fully prepared with her own elastic newborn headband (above). I love it!

I meet Taj in his beautiful home in Corona Del Mar.

Baby Abigail and her wonderful parents modeled for us during a personal workshop.

As did sweet little Isabella!

And it’s always fun to see babies grow. This is the second time I’ve photographed Vienna. She really loved my white chair!

Baby Jaden. Snug as a bug! This is the last shot I took of the trunk with it’s bark intact. It’s face-lift debut is coming soon!

And last but not least… my gorgeous sister and Adrianne, who gave us a surprise visit during a workshop. She is becoming quite the butterball (and yes, I know, I still need to finish my “week” of Adrianne!). Thanks for looking! © carrie sandoval | baby photography

Little posers.

Yep, May was a busy month for workshops! Which means I got to meet lots of adorable babies. Which also means I have some serious catching up to do, once again! Can you believe the hair on these little guys? I love it! Thanks for looking! © carrie sandoval | baby photographer

Just sharing our two gorgeous models from our May 8th personal workshop with Fiona Colvin from Perth, Australia (who brought us some YUMMIES from down under… well, except for the vegemite!) and Shannon Dodd from Iowa (who made us an adorable hat to use during the workshop!). Rebecca, if you are reading, yes, that is your ADORABLE niece, Mary, blowing you a kiss from sunny so Cal! © carrie sandoval | newborn photographer

12 babies. 4 days.

May 14, 2010

First let me say that it is good to be back! And, KNOCK ON WOOD, clean and virus free. Last Friday my website was hacked with the MalWare virus script.  I can not begin to comprehend why anyone would want to do this. I am sorry if any of my visitors were infected. I can only hope that everyone’s virus protection was up to date! On a happier note, I am so excited to share some of our models from the April Baby as Art workshops! We photographed 12 babies during the 2 back-to-back 2 day workshops in a gorgeous loft 21 stories above San Diego’s Gas Lamp District. I’ll start with a few happy babies…

Nope, not twins… but destined to be best of friends. Not only were these girls born on the same day, but their Mothers are best of friends as well!

Thanks to all of our wonderful families, attendees and friends who made the workshops a success. A special shout out to our studio manager, Chelle Haney, for keeping us organized while planning the workshops and to Jen Wright, an *amazing* children’s photographer (she will be in southern California for one more week and possible scattered dates throughout the summer for family sessions, hint, hint!), who kept us organized and well fed during the workshops… and to Julie at Lot116 for lending us 3 adorable models! © carrie sandoval | baby photographer

Sneak peek | Model seek

April 9, 2010

First things first! Any expecting Mamas due soon may be interested in having their baby model for our April workshops. The workshops are going to be held April 24-25 and 27-28 in an urban loft in San Diego’s Gas Lamp District! Baby should be less than 2 weeks old at the time of the workshops! Email if you are interested!

We had the pleasure of meeting Little Sebastian earlier this week. He had such an amazing head of hair, didn’t he?

I think part of the reason I am enjoying maternity sessions so much, is that I know I will get to see the wonderful families again soon. It also could have something to do with all the gorgeous greens we have going on here right now… and my new prop! Thanks for looking! © carrie sandoval | baby photographer
