I had a great time hanging out with you Gavin… you were the perfect little model. Although, by the looks of the last photo, I’m not quite sure you knew what was going on! Tell your Mommy her gallery will be ready soon! © carrie sandoval | newborn photographer

Hanging with baby Gavin | newborn photography
March 2, 2010Isn’t she sweet?

It’s always a pleasure to meet other photographers and their babies! This little sweetie belongs to Brianne Brose. Brianne wasn’t too sure about stepping in front of the camera, but I reassured her that if she hated, we could always delete it. I think she is happy she did it. After all, photographers rarely have pictures of themselves! Thanks for looking! © carrie sandoval | newborn photographer
February babies | newborn posing and photography workshop
February 22, 2010It was a busy week and I thought I would try to catch up my blog by showing off the adorable little models from our February Baby as Art workshop! Britt posted more on the Baby as Art blog. Sorry about the repetitiveness, but now I feel a little more caught up and can post some recent sessions!

Quincy is a big brother.
February 15, 2010I just couldn’t contain my excitement when Quincy’s Mom told me she was expecting again. It was a given that this baby would be beautiful! Meet Luca, 6 days old. And on that note, we are off to Denver to guest speak at the fabulous Living the Dream Workshop! © carrie sandoval | newborn photographer
Outdoors Indoors.
February 6, 2010There is something about the combination of a sweet baby and mother nature that inspires Brittany and I… so this winter, we were determined not to let the rain and 60° weather (yes! that is cold to us southern Californians! and even more cold to a wee little sprout who is accustomed to frolicking in 98.6°) “dampen” our creative vision! Recent showers have sprouted many beautiful fields of green in my neighborhood, but it was still too chilly for a naked baby. So why not bring the outdoors in? My creative partner, Brittany Woodall, put together this amazing set a few weeks ago and sadly, it does not last long. We will continue to rebuild, remaster and seize the moment on those occasional warm winter days (see below). Both images courtesy Brittany Woodall, © Baby as Art. And for those of you interested in seeing the indoor set up, I posted it a couple weeks ago on flickr: here.
